4D Autumn 17
New year, new classroom, new arrivals and new ideas.
It's been an exciting start to the 2017/18 academic year in 4D.
Below is a selection of information, pictures and videos to show you just a glimpse of what we have been up to so far.
Come back soon to see more updates from our planned Science Weeks and R.E Days!
A new saying at Handford Hall is 'let's get outside'. During our Maths lessons we have implemented this new priority wherever possible. We have been focusing on place value and addition. This has meant chalk number lines, column addition (using the children!) and using our number knowledge to create pictures.
We have been going through the 'The Writing Process' in 4D. We have already planned, drafted, edited and published some amazing fables. We are now focusing on instructions. We had a fun lesson giving very specific instructions to each other.
Our topic of 'Scavengers and Settlers' has allowed us to 'get outside' even more! We have been on an archaeological dig, a walk in our wooded area to get ideas for our descriptive diary entries and of course our trip to Rendlesham Forest!
4D's Movie Trailer, filmed at Rendlesham Forest... Enjoy!
A great start 4D!
