6H Summer 2016

Welcome back after the Easter break. At Handford Hall we always have high standards for work and behaviour. We expect the children to be smart, polite and hard working. With parents and staff working in partnership, we are sure the children will be able to achieve great things during this term.

Year Six is an important year as it will help to prepare your child for high school. There are the SATs tests to prepare for in May which means we will all be working hard throughout the year. We have some exciting trips to look forward to. The reading and homework can be used to communicate with us if you would like to write us a note but we are also on the playground at the end of the day to answer any questions you may have.

SATs are nearly here (9th to 12th May) and so revision is on-going in class. We have a record number of pupils  (33!) attending morning Booster Classes every morning (for 5 weeks). Well done to you all!

We expect the children to read daily at home and to record the pages read as well as some information about the text. You do not need to sign the journal every day as we are encouraging the children to be independent readers.

Here are some useful websites to go on. Remember to stay safe on line and to tell a trusted adult if you see anything that is inappropriate.
