6H Summer Term 2018

We are happy, hard - working and confident class. We strive to do our best every day.

We have lots more exciting things to look forward to this term with Sports Day, the show and our transition trips to high school to name a few.

Let's not forget the SATs are quickly approaching and the children may not be looking forward to the tests but I'm sure they will be looking forward to SATs breakfast. I am so proud of the hard work that the children have put in so far including turning up for boosters every morning for 7 weeks. I'm sure they will continue on this positive path towards success as they are an amazing class.

Remember to keep checking the parent app and text messages for important dates and information and if you want to check any letters that have been emailed you will also find them on this website.

There are 32 brilliant, hardworking children in year 6 who continue to be great role models and looking towards high school. We are always complimented from the high schools about the children we send to them and I'm sure these children will continue to make us proud. I wish them every bit of luck and success as we work towards our SATs and towards their next very exciting steps in their school careers. 6H -  what a fantastic year 6 you have been so far, I know you will all keep it up for the rest of the year and beyond.

Don't forget:

Home Learning

Home learning will consist of several pieces each week. As well as this we feel that the following basic skills are really important and will help the children for the rest of the year.

Reading

We would like children to read at home every day for at least 30 min.

Times tables

For Maths, a fast recall of times tables if very important to help children with all areas of maths.  For this reason we’d like the children to practise the times tables for their year group, forwards and backwards.  In Year 6 it is vital that children know all the times tables including the corresponding division facts.
