Snacks and School Meals
We encourage healthy eating and all children will be actively encouraged to eat fruit or a suitable alternative at break times.
Early Years and Key Stage 1 children have a fruit snack prepared for them daily. Children are not allowed to eat sweets or chew gum during school hours. Please support our healthy schools campaign.
A wide variety of hot and cold meals are available daily and eaten in the dome. Parents are sent menu leaflets provided by Suffolk County Council, giving a guide to meals provided. We also have special theme day meals.
The School Meals Service operates a "Healthy Eating" policy, which is reflected in the menus offered.
Currently meals are paid for in advance every Monday morning. The present cost of a meal is £2.30 per day. Parents may also pay for meals on a monthly basis, termly etc. You may also pay electronically via School Gateway, click here for details.
Free School Meals
All children in Key Stage 1 are entitled to free school meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme. However it's important that parents continue to apply for free school meals as this generates additional funding for the school. We therefore encourage all parents in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to check to see if they meet the criteria.
