We have made a fantastic start in year 2! Have a look below at all our fantastic learning.
We have been learning all about Micheal’s adventures and the letters he has been sending his teacher. He had to battle the Pirate King, climb Mount Everest and even hide from some baddies in the Egyptian Pyramids. We have been planning our own adventures pretending to be Micheal. Here are some pictures of our planning. You will be able to see our letters soon.
We love learning outside.
We have been on a sentence hunt, finding different sentence types and adding in the correct punctuation. We have also used leaves to practise measuring with rulers. Most recently the classroom door became a time portal! When we stepped onto the playground it was the past and we got to play different playground games. Our favourite was oranges and lemons because we could sing a catchy song.
On Monday morning our parents were lucky enough to be part of our maths lesson. We showed them our maths workouts and our counting skills. Following this we worked together using an empty number line. It was so much fun, we hope our grown ups enjoyed it as much as we did.
We have just arrived back from a fantastic day at Christchurch park. First we went to Christchurch museum and listened to Linda talk all about toys from the past. Our favourite was the zoetrope which made pictures look like they were moving. After this, we were lucky enough to eat our lunch outside on some beches next to the mansion. Then went got to play in the adventure playground. We had such a fun day and we are ready to rest now over half term.
