All About Trolls

All About Trolls 1

English: Writing a fact file about trolls

Today you are going to use your planning notes from Monday and the All about Trolls text from last week to make your own  fact file or  information leaflet about trolls. Use your imagination and make your descriptions exciting and fun!

You can use the writing frame on this page, make your own leaflet or write each section in your books. Make sure you use your sub-headings from yesterday for each section and don't forget to include diagrams and illustrations.

Remember to:

•use adjectives to describe the features of your troll to give your reader a picture in their head;

• build up a picture for the reader using a sentence of 3 to describe your troll;

• link your ideas by using adverbs at the start of your sentences to tell the reader you are adding on information

• engage your reader by using adverbs of emotion (feeling) at the start of a sentence

• drop-in extra information for the reader by using a relative clause starting with who.

Try to use these adverbs in your   sentences
